End of July I got a call asking me if I could make a cake for a huge media event. When i heard who it is for I nearly died of excitement!!!! 🙂 2DayFM is the biggest Radio Station in Australia and their breakfast show hosts, Kyle and JackieO are the top notch radio hosts…We regularly listen to them and my kids think they r hilarious (most of the times)

This cake was for Jackie and her husband Lee’s 10 year renewal BIG FAT GYPSY WEDDING style…so the brief of the cake was…BIG..tacky..pink..lights..dolls..and more tacky 🙂 considering how much time i have put into perfecting my cakes, doing tacky was a lot of hardwork…but in the end it paid of…

Both Kyle and Jackie absolutely loved the cake and were extremely appreciative 🙂

and here are some pictures from the day…

Thomas the Tank ..

This cake was for my biggest critic 🙂 my gorgeous son who turned 3… Knowing his mum is a “cake” maker he thinks i can whip up anything 🙂 he initially asked for a Thomas cake with Spiderman sitting on top of it…i convinced him to rule spidey out 🙂

ofcourse the critic in him cake out 2 seconds after he saw it…he started with “Mum its awesomeeee (for a 3 year old, he has a excellent vocabulary) , you did a fantastic job…you are too cool…but {i was waiting for that} why is it number 3…you know its number 1” told him since he is turning 3 it was better that way…then he proceeds to tell me how one side is missing the wheels and that its missing some whistle…

lets just say I was very happy with it… with one of my busiest weeks I was lucky to give my son the cake he wanted.

Cake was dark chocolate mocha mudcake.

Natasha wanted to surprise her husband who loves everything Universe with something special for their 10 year anniversary… She chose the solar system theme and we went with it.

The cake is Apple vanilla eggless cake and fed 10-15 people.

This is what natasha had to say

Hey, it was really yummm & my hubby & family absolutely loved the idea & the cake! .. All in all da best eggless cake i’ve evr had!
Thanks for all your help.

This wedding cake is no ordinary cake.. The flowers and all the tiers travelled approximately 7600kms. This is my cousins wedding cake, that I made in Sydney and took it all the way to India! 🙂

Why you ask!!! Coz i am a bit crazy 🙂 And i love my brother! He is also my sons Godfather which makes it even more special!

None of the tiers were edible. They are dummy cakes. But the flowers are all sugar flowers hand made and transported! some of them didnt make the journey and the orchids started dying due to the high level of humidity..Rain did not help either.

I just loved this cake and had to share 🙂

and thats me…all dressed in my ethnic gear…which is a very very rare sight 🙂 and big cheer to the hair dresser for transforming my super duper short hair to this! 🙂

Ros contacted me asking if I could make another Sydney Harbour Bridge cake for her Mum..

Now her mum did not want any mention of how old she was, but the significance here is that She was born the same year the Bridge was inaugurated 🙂 if you know your history this should give you her age!!

Cake was carved using my delicious White chocolate mud cake. Every single item is Edible, except the flag.

Hi Rose,

Yes Mum loved the cake! Everyone was very impressed and thought the cake was
amazing. Here’s a photo of my mum just after she blew the candles out
standing with a granddaughter and a great granddaughter. All the guests had
a slice and there was one pylon left over which Mum took home.

Thanks for your wonderful work Rose.

Kirsten is my kids child care at our gym and she is such a lovely girl. When she found out that i did Cakes she asked me to make her a beautiful cake.

She wanted a 2 tier Tiffany box cake. The cake was white chocolate mud cake with Ganache filling and covered in Fondant.

This testimonial is from Kirsten’s mum

Hi Rosie

I am just writing to say thank you for Kirsten’s amazing 21st Cake.  It was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what Kirsten wanted.  The colour was superb and the bow was especially delightful with the special sparkle to it.  The cake certainly was one of the highlights of the night.  The cake looked absolutely amazing and was delicious too.

Thank you again.

Bambi Birthday cake

This special Bambi cake was for a adorable 3 year old who loves bambi and purple 🙂

The cake flavour was the yummy white chocolate mudcake with ganache and covered in fondant.

the picture of Bambi is an edible image that I cut out and placed and decorated with some handmade flowers and grass icing.

The cake was absolutely tasty and it was much more awesome looking than I expected. Thank you for making my daughters day so special and taking into considerations all my requests.
