Happpy new year my lovelies…i am back from holidays…and back with a bang!!!

My sisters wedding went welll…and i shall post pictures of the cake soon…if you havent seen it on my facebook page yet, then go and check it out!!!! and while you are at it…Like my page :D

My Facebook Page

So like i said, I started the year with a bang!!! I landed on Friday morning and headed straight into the kitchen to start baking…why you ask…Well i had a hugeeee order :D IF you are from australia and follow NRL(National Rugby League) you will know who the Parramatta Eels are :D

I think 2 days before i left i got this email asking me if i could make a cake for the Eels Legend Steve Edges..I dont think i could sleep on the plane because all i could do was try and focus on where to start and how to go on about it…I had to channel my inner architect because i had to make a cake that looked like the building which was going to be named after Steve Edges..

No time to get jet lagged…horrrriiidddd humidity and rain…3 days of nonstop working and i did it…when i delivered the cake a few Eel players and legends were all praises…[i did not recognise half of them, but my husband pointed out who is who]..it felt great…

and heres the feedback from the Eels :D

“It is AMAZING. Looks perfect and tastes great. Thanks so much! I’ve already given you a plug on twitter, it’ll be on Facebook and the website over the next 24 hours. Thanks again!”

and heres the link to the video montage that came on the national news :D my cake can be seen at 16sec and somewhere further on… :D once i get more pictures from the eels i shall post them :D oh and stay tuned coz theres soooo many great cakes i need to share…its been long…

End of July I got a call asking me if I could make a cake for a huge media event. When i heard who it is for I nearly died of excitement!!!! :) 2DayFM is the biggest Radio Station in Australia and their breakfast show hosts, Kyle and JackieO are the top notch radio hosts…We regularly listen to them and my kids think they r hilarious (most of the times)

This cake was for Jackie and her husband Lee’s 10 year renewal BIG FAT GYPSY WEDDING style…so the brief of the cake was…BIG..tacky..pink..lights..dolls..and more tacky :) considering how much time i have put into perfecting my cakes, doing tacky was a lot of hardwork…but in the end it paid of…

Both Kyle and Jackie absolutely loved the cake and were extremely appreciative :)

and here are some pictures from the day…

Ros contacted me asking if I could make another Sydney Harbour Bridge cake for her Mum..

Now her mum did not want any mention of how old she was, but the significance here is that She was born the same year the Bridge was inaugurated :) if you know your history this should give you her age!!

Cake was carved using my delicious White chocolate mud cake. Every single item is Edible, except the flag.

Hi Rose,

Yes Mum loved the cake! Everyone was very impressed and thought the cake was
amazing. Here’s a photo of my mum just after she blew the candles out
standing with a granddaughter and a great granddaughter. All the guests had
a slice and there was one pylon left over which Mum took home.

Thanks for your wonderful work Rose.

Regards,
Ros

About 2 days before the party she calls and asks me if i could make the cake as well…That weekend was booked out but hearing a mums plea, i just couldnt say no…

From what started out to be just 4-5 animal toppers, it ended up to a beautiful cake..

Cake was white chocolate mudcake with ganache filling an covered in fondant.

Hi Rose,
The cake was fantastic everyone loved it especially the children. Alessandraloved it. Tasted delicious, fresh, not overly sweet which was great with the chocolate!!!!

After making her brothers Farm animal cake, Maya wanted a cake with Butterflies and a Fairy :) and ofcourse her favourite colour is pink!

The cake was white chocolate mudcake layered with fresh strawberries and blueberries and dark chocolate ganache!

the butterflies are edible rice paper and they just added a beautiful touch to the cake. The fairy was hand modelled.

Bhavesh, the dad called and told me how excellent the cake was and how happy Maya(birthday girl) was…and that his friends have never tasted a cake this good :) yayy..

Maria, St Vincent Primary school, Ashfield’s Principal approached me and asked me if I could make a special cake for her year6 graduation class..Being a member of the church, I had to make something special! :)

The image is edible…The frame is edible and coloured in edible gold.

Cake was the much popular White Chocolate mudcake with Ganache and covered in Fondant.

Maria met me couple of days ago and was all praises for the cake..She was upset she did not get a piece to eat as it was all gone as soon as they cut it :) That sure is a good sign!!
