Deanna asked me to make this unisex cake to celebrate a joint 50th birthday.

It was a free reign and all she wanted was tiffany blue, brown and silver incorporated into the cake.

Cake was our yummilicous White chocolate cake and was delivered.

Heres was Deanna said about the cake :)

The cake was absolutely delicious and everybody remarked on how beautiful it was.  The cake far exceeded my expectations, and I am so grateful that fate guided me to your website!

Thank you so much for everything and all your prompt replies to my queries.  You will be my first point of contact if I or any of my friends should require a cake in the future.

It was a pleasure to have met you and I hope that you and your family had a great evening

I have had some crazy requests for cakes…But this was I thought was awesome!!! She is one of my most regular client and who is constantly telling others about me :) so when she asked me to make this, I had to do it…

She wanted an Indian Puja Plate…but all edible and as a cake!! A puja plate is used by Hindu’s when they have a big event in their house or temple and used as an offering to their deity. Each plate is different depending on the occasion and the god its being offered to.

This particular plate was for Lord Ganesh, The half human half elephant god. One of the main components of the plate is Modak – an indian sweet which Lord Ganesha lovesss and Lotus flower.

Every single elemant in this cake is EDIBLE!!!! and all handmade.

This cake was eggless as it was used as an offering in a temple.

My Facebook Page

So like i said, I started the year with a bang!!! I landed on Friday morning and headed straight into the kitchen to start baking…why you ask…Well i had a hugeeee order :D IF you are from australia and follow NRL(National Rugby League) you will know who the Parramatta Eels are :D

I think 2 days before i left i got this email asking me if i could make a cake for the Eels Legend Steve Edges..I dont think i could sleep on the plane because all i could do was try and focus on where to start and how to go on about it…I had to channel my inner architect because i had to make a cake that looked like the building which was going to be named after Steve Edges..

No time to get jet lagged…horrrriiidddd humidity and rain…3 days of nonstop working and i did it…when i delivered the cake a few Eel players and legends were all praises…[i did not recognise half of them, but my husband pointed out who is who]..it felt great…

and heres the feedback from the Eels :D

“It is AMAZING. Looks perfect and tastes great. Thanks so much! I’ve already given you a plug on twitter, it’ll be on Facebook and the website over the next 24 hours. Thanks again!”

and heres the link to the video montage that came on the national news :D my cake can be seen at 16sec and somewhere further on… :D once i get more pictures from the eels i shall post them :D oh and stay tuned coz theres soooo many great cakes i need to share…its been long…

End of July I got a call asking me if I could make a cake for a huge media event. When i heard who it is for I nearly died of excitement!!!! :) 2DayFM is the biggest Radio Station in Australia and their breakfast show hosts, Kyle and JackieO are the top notch radio hosts…We regularly listen to them and my kids think they r hilarious (most of the times)

This cake was for Jackie and her husband Lee’s 10 year renewal BIG FAT GYPSY WEDDING style…so the brief of the cake was…BIG..tacky..pink..lights..dolls..and more tacky :) considering how much time i have put into perfecting my cakes, doing tacky was a lot of hardwork…but in the end it paid of…

Both Kyle and Jackie absolutely loved the cake and were extremely appreciative :)

and here are some pictures from the day…

This cake was for my biggest critic :) my gorgeous son who turned 3… Knowing his mum is a “cake” maker he thinks i can whip up anything :) he initially asked for a Thomas cake with Spiderman sitting on top of it…i convinced him to rule spidey out :)

ofcourse the critic in him cake out 2 seconds after he saw it…he started with “Mum its awesomeeee (for a 3 year old, he has a excellent vocabulary) , you did a fantastic job…you are too cool…but {i was waiting for that} why is it number 3…you know its number 1″ told him since he is turning 3 it was better that way…then he proceeds to tell me how one side is missing the wheels and that its missing some whistle…

lets just say I was very happy with it… with one of my busiest weeks I was lucky to give my son the cake he wanted.

Cake was dark chocolate mocha mudcake.

This wedding cake is no ordinary cake.. The flowers and all the tiers travelled approximately 7600kms. This is my cousins wedding cake, that I made in Sydney and took it all the way to India! :)

Why you ask!!! Coz i am a bit crazy :) And i love my brother! He is also my sons Godfather which makes it even more special!

None of the tiers were edible. They are dummy cakes. But the flowers are all sugar flowers hand made and transported! some of them didnt make the journey and the orchids started dying due to the high level of humidity..Rain did not help either.

I just loved this cake and had to share :)

and thats me…all dressed in my ethnic gear…which is a very very rare sight :) and big cheer to the hair dresser for transforming my super duper short hair to this! :)
